Surf's Up Dude!

Journaling: Justin had an incredible time on the beach in Somana. I was nervous for him at first because he has a fear of going under water. The waves and current were really rough so I was not sure how he would handle it. Almost right away he was washed away by a wave completely immersed in water. My heart sank. But he was a trooper. He thought it was the funniest thing ever, We had so much fun playing in the waves. I was hoping that Justin would want to go back to swimming lessons after this positive experience. He did not. He only wants to swim “on the beach.” I guess you can’t blame him - it is fun. Somana, Dominican Republic, February 19, 2008

Sleigh Ride LO

Journaling: In March 2004, I had a spouse included work trip to Sun Valley, Idaho. While there, our group took a scenic sleigh ride to the Trail Creek Cabin for dinner. The view was spectacular. It made for a very unique and memorable dinner experience.

Cave Creek Outfitters LO

Journaling: On December 9, 2006, we went on the most incredible horse back ride through Cold Creek Outfitters in Phoenix, Arizona. I have ridden horses in many places: the jungle, beach, pastures. But I had never ridden a horse in the desert before. It was amazing. I love Westerns. The desert seemed like the most natural place to ride a horse. The scenery was so peaceful and beautiful. Our guide and horses were terrific. It was an amazing experience.
