Speed Racer

Journaling:
Justin became a bit obsessed with watching the old speed racer cartoons after seeing the movie. I can’t say that I helped matters much seeing that it was my favorite cartoon as a child. It didn’t take long for the other neighborhood kids to catch on. Pretty soon Justin and Liam were always racing on their big wheels pretending to be Speed Racer or Racer X. Soon Margaret was Duggery and Marion was Trixie.

I found it very amusing when Justin and Liam started “crashing” and laying on the ground next to their bikes pretending to be unconscious just like in the cartoon. They would lay on the ground and someone from the neighborhood would inevitably always walk by and thing they were hurt not realizing they were playing. 06/08
