Why We Play LO

Journaling: Why We Play, 280 Teams, 5,320 Players, 630 Games, 1 City, Hockey has no boarders.

I was so excited to find out that my 14 year old cousin / godson, Phil, was going to play hockey in Chicago for the 2007 Nike Bauer International hockey Invite. Teams were in from all over the US and Canada - Impressive tournament. Phil’s team, the Burlington Eagles, were 2nd in there division in the first round but unfortunately were beat by another Canadian team in the next round. Just like his parents, I am so proud of him. He is a very talented hockey player.

Text at bottom repeats: The 2007 Nike Bauer Invite. Your time to play for it all.

Weekend update

Turns out Justin and I both have sinus infections.

I had relatives in this weekend from Canada. My 14 year old cousin / godson, Phil, was in the 2007 Nike Bauer International hockey Invite. Teams were in from all over the US and Canada - Impressive tournament. His team, the Burlington Eagles, were 2nd in there division in the first round but unfortunately were beat by another Canadian team in the next round.

So we were hanging out with the team all weekend. Tim and I went with them to the Bulls opening game Friday night. To bad the Bulls lost.

All in all it was a fun weekend – went by too fast.

Justin's Fear

Journaling: Weather in the bathtub, swimming pool, or Lake Justin has a immense fear of getting his head wet. Now that he has graduated to level one swimming he will need to go under water in order to move on. He loves being in water. He just hates getting water on his head. I got him swim goggles and nose clips to help keep the water out of his face but it hasn’t helped. When I was a child I was afraid of swim class. My mom let me quite. To this day, I regret it. Of course it didn’t stop me from becoming a certified Scuba Diver. I hope Justin conquers this fear. He does love being in the water.

Soccer Camp

Justin started soccer camp yesterday. He looks so cute in his little outfit. He's actually really good at dribbling. As always, he has to be with Liam. If this week goes well, we will sign him up for soccer in the fall.
